MY story
I moved to Crestwood in 2013 to begin my Masters in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary. After graduating in 2016 I married my husband, Marwan and we have 3 children.
Our daughters attend Long Elementary School. I lead the newest Kindergarten Girl Scout troop, and our children enjoy a variety of activities through the City of Crestwood and Lindbergh School District. We love our community!
I work professionally for Armstrong Teasdale Law firm as a Conflict of Interest Specialist. My husband is a Men’s Basketball Coach at Missouri Baptist University.
The best part of my day is getting out into our neighborhood with my family and engaging with everyone we see. Getting to know our neighbors has been the greatest joy of living in Crestwood over the last 12 years.
Crestwood is filled with young families whose perspective deserves a voice! I believe Crestwood residents would benefit greatly from my unique skillset and experience.
I look forward to getting to know you all better!
Some citizens may find it difficult to get away and attend Alderman meetings. I will work to connect our City and our Citizens by having meetings live streamed, creating easier access for all.
I will post shortened versions of the upcoming meeting notes prior to alder meetings, so at a quick glance it is clear what is being discussed. My goal would also be to post a meeting follow-up with results.
“If every person would help their neighbor, no person would be without help.” -Bruce Lee
We live in a community that wants to help their neighbors, and I will facilitate those connections with formal programs.
I would love to create community volunteer days in which residents who are able, help those who are not, to do seasonal yard clean up, and other things.
This would involve individuals as well as local schools, religious organizations, and others, giving them an opportunity to give back to their community.
Crestwood draws families because kids can run from house to house, bike blocks to get to friends or the park, families walk their dogs for some fresh air. We all want safe streets to support these activities.
I support the expansion of sidewalk networks, particularly where kids walk to and from school. I also support crosswalks on busier streets for everyone to cross safely.
